Victoria BC is the capital of British Columbia. It is situated at the southern most point of Vancouver Island.
Victoria can be reached by car and ferry from Greater Vancouver in about 4 hours. Alternatively, one can travel to Victoria's Inner Harbour by seaplane from Vancouver's Coal Harbour in 35 minutes.
Victoria is a beautiful city. English gardens and hanging baskets can be found everywhere.
Beacon Hill Park is lovely to visit anytime of the year. Located on the waterfront overlooking the snow-capped peaks of the Olympic Mountains, the park features a small petting zoo and rose gardens.
The BC Provincial Museum is located across the street from the provincial legislature in downtown Victoria and is a fabulous place to visit.
Tours of the Legislature are available free, when the legislature is not in session.
